BRITISH STANDARDS IN QATAR

British Standards

British Standards are widely used in the Gulf. There are now over 20,000 British Standards publications covering all industry sectors, with some 2,000 new or revised standards being issued each year to keep the technical content up-to-date and to encompass new materials, processes and technologies. All European Union Standards are automatically adopted as British Standards and a large number of International Standards are also adopted as British Standards.

Immediate Information on Standards from
dch Interim Management

British, European and International Standards have an increasing role to play in the State of Qatar, particularly now that $455 million-worth of construction projects have been announced by the Qatar National Olympic Committee as part of preparations for the 2006 Asian Games to be held in Doha. Government projects invariably require the use of internationally recognised standards and dch Interim Management is able to provide and process orders for British, European and International Standards - usually within three working days - as a service to the local business community. dch Interim Management holds a fully searchable and up-to-date electronic catalogue of all British Standards publications, which is also available online at HYPERLINK http://bsonline.techindex.co.uk

Standards are available directly from dch Interim Management, whose offices are situated in Doha. For further information, please contact David Chaddock at:
